If the resistance of the thermistor is normal, check the wire harness and replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness is okay, replace the electronic control board. |

Heating error (electric dryer) Solution: See if a house circuit breaker for the dryer is tripped; the dryer won’t heat if a leg of the 240-volt power supply is off. Unplug the dryer and check the wiring connections on the heating element. Reconnect any loose wires and replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the heating element for damage and replace the heating element if defective. |

Flowsense indicator, Exhaust system Solution: Check that the dryer’s exhaust system is not blocked from the dryer to the outside of the home. This is the result of lint buildup in the exhaust duct. |

Improper voltage with the power cord Solution: Be sure the white and red wire connections bare not reversed on the dryer’s terminal block. |

Thermistor failure Solution: The control detects the temperature sensor is defective. Remove power from the dryer and measure resistance through the thermistor. It should measure about 10,000 ohms. If the thermistor is defective then replace it. |

The drain hose is kinked, crushed, clogged, or the water in the sump is frozen. Solution: Check that the drain hose is not kinked, twisted, or clogged with water at the end of the hose. |

here is a problem with the electrical wiring in the home and no current is being detected at the heater. Solution: Check power. |

Door switch error. Solution: Check the operation of the door switch. Do this by using the diagnostic test mode. If the door switch is defective then it needs to be replaced. |

Dryer has detected an error with the humidity sensor. Solution: Clean the sensors on the inside of the dryer that are located below the lint filter. Allow the sensors to fully dry before attempting another cycle. |

Power failure Solution: A power failure occurred during the cycle. The cycle may not have completed properly. Start a new cycle. |
Bosch Dryer Error Codes
E01, E11 or E12 |
Overheating due to clogged exhaust air path Solution: Clean lint from the lint screen. Clear any clogs from the flexible exhaust hose behind the dryer and straighten out any kinks. Replace the flexible exhaust hose if damaged. Clear the vent duct system to the outside of your home. Check that the exhaust vent damper outside your home opens properly. |
E03 or E13 |
Maximum drying time exceeded Solution: The maximum drying time is 4 hours. Reduce the load size if the dryer is too full to dry. If the dryer isn’t getting hot enough to dry clothing, unplug the dryer and check the heating element or gas burner components. Replace any defective heating components. |
E17 |
Lint screen temperature sensor error Solution: Unplug the dryer and reconnect the wire harness on the lint screen temperature sensor if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the lint screen temperature sensor. |
E18 |
Heater temperature sensor error Solution: Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections on the heater temperature sensor. Reconnect the wire harness if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the heater temperature sensor. |
E20 through E26 |
Defective control module Solution: Unplug the dryer for 3 minutes to reset the control module. If the code returns when power is restored, replace the control module. |
GE Dryer Error Codes
001 or 003 |
The inlet thermistor (temperature sensor) is defective. Solution: The inlet thermistor on the side of the inlet air duct inside the dryer measures the temperature of heated air entering the dryer drum. Unplug the dryer and reconnect any loose wires on the inlet thermistor. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wires are okay, replace the inlet thermistor. |
002 or 004 |
The outlet thermistor (temperature sensor) is defective. Solution: The outlet thermistor on the blower housing behind the fan measures the temperature of heated air leaving the dryer drum. Unplug the dryer and reconnect any loose wires on the outlet thermistor. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wires are okay, replace the outlet thermistor. |
005 |
The main control board is defective. Solution: Unplug the dryer for 3 minutes to reset the main control board. Replace the main control board if the code returns when you restore power. |
006 |
Stuck button on the control panel Solution: Push each button on the control panel to free the stuck button. If the code doesn’t clear, unplug the dryer and replace any damaged control panel components. If the control panel components are okay, replace the main control board. |
007 |
Power supply is mis-wired. Solution: The Line 2 (L2) and Neutral (N) are reversed. Correct the power cord wiring connections on the terminal block, following the installation instructions. |
008 or 00d |
Door switch not opening; 5 cycles ran without the door switch opening Solution: Unplug the dryer and reconnect any loose wires on the door switch. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wires are okay, replace the door switch. |
009 |
Drive motor problem. Solution: If the drive motor won’t run, unplug the dryer and reconnect any loose wires on the drive motor. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Replace any drive system components that prevent the drum from rotating smoothly. If the wiring and drive components are okay, replace the drive motor. If the dryer motor won’t shut off unless the dryer is unplugged, replace the main control board because a relay on the main control board must be stuck, preventing the drive motor from shutting off. |

Electronic circuit board fault Tumble Dryers is not operating – some or all functions are not selectable. Also check for any blockages in waste water hose and in any under-sink plumbing.If none of the above solutions work, it is likely you have a pump failure and will need further assistance. Door lock fault Tumble Dryers door cannot be opened or closed / when the door is closed the machine the programme will not start. EIxhaust thermistor failure Solution: Unplug the dryer. Check the resistance of the exhaust thermistor (temperature sensor). It should measure about 10,000 ohms at room temperature. If the thermistor is defective, replace it. |

Drive motor failure Solution: Unplug the dryer. Check the wiring connections between the main electronic control board and the drive motor. If the wiring connections are sound, replace the drive motor.
